Special Interest in Periodontics
Tim Phillips is accepting referrals from dental professionals and self-referrals from patients for a range of periodontal or peri-implant treaments.
Tim has a special interest in Periodontics, and is able to provide the following treatments:

Unstable periodontitis or peri-implant diseases including
non-surgical and surgical periodontal therapy such as pocket reduction surgery and guided tissue regeneration

Free gingival grafts

Crown lengthening surgery

Simple root coverage procedures

In 2022, Tim completed an MSc in Clinical Periodontics at the College of Medicine & Dentistry: Birmingham campus for Ulster University, during which he gained valuable experience on specialist-led periodontal clinics.
He is also now a visiting Clinical Teacher at the College of Medicine & Dentistry in Birmingham, providing supervision for the MSc students on the same clinic where he trained.
He has also worked part time at University Dental Hospital in Cardiff on the Clinical Attachment scheme, examining and treating periodontal referrals on the Restorative Consultant clinic.
He also studied Periodontology whilst completing a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies in 2011, and is a member of the British Society of Periodontology.
